HSPCA needs your support! Volunteers are needed to assist free vaccination clinics from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday March 17th and Saturday March 24th. Additional support is also needed for the upcoming Mega Match-a-thon adoptions weekend March 30th-April 1st working to find 500 pets forever homes in the Greater Kansas City area.
Dogs give us kisses, laughter, unconditional love and a guaranteed snuggle if a bad dream make its way into our slumber. But what if that delicious doggy from the pet shelter proves to be a behavioral handful once you get him or her home? Thanks to professional dog trainer extraordinaire Skip Daiger, you won’t ever have to worry about a rambunctious pooch.

HSPCA’s Humane Education Resource Officer (HERO) program and KC Pet Project volunteers will join forces to build 25 dog houses for pets in need through an event called Habitat for Paws from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11th at the HSPCA Animal Medical Center at 5428 Antioch Dr. Merriam, KS 66202.

The HSPCA Lost Pet & Intake Center accepted a lost dog on Wednesday, Jan. 25th with a microchip registered more than 1,200 miles away. Within 24 hours the dog’s microchip connected Heartland SPCA with his owner in Butte, Mont.
